Ways to Donate
We make donating easy and convenient. Whether you’re dropping off a small box or coordinating a large collection, you can choose the method that works best for you. You can drop off items at Julia’s Café & Books, use any of the local Habitat Charlotte Region ReStore locations, or host your own book drive to collect donations in your community.

Organize a book drive to maximize your impact
Hosting a Book Drive
Hosting a book drive is an effective way to support the mission of Julia’s and Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region. We provide all the materials needed, you provide the space and spread the word. Choose the best format for your group: the small tote bin, rolling donation bin, or a neighborhood drive.
Small Tote Bin
This drive is well suited for small organizations and can be replicated across multiple sites. For example, a company with five different offices in Charlotte could do a company-wide drive by having a small tote bin at each office.
Rolling Donation Bin
This is the type of drive we use most often. Many mid- to large-size offices, churches, and other organizations choose this type of drive because of its mobility and capacity. We’ll drop off a large bin (think of your home’s wheeled recycling bin) that can stay in your space until it’s full, then we’ll come pick it up!

Neighborhood Drive
An ambitious project, but we have the system, equipment and experience to make it a success. We deliver a tote bag and letter from the resident or host to every home in the neighborhood one weekend, and pick up the filled tote bags the following weekend.
The letter helps explain what Julia’s does and how much of an impact someone’s old books can make.
