Books Department

Our volunteers are the backbone of our bookstore, transforming donations into discoverable treasures. You’ll play a vital role in every step of the process, ensuring that only the best books make it to our shelves, whether in our physical store or online. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Quality Control & Curation 
  • Book Processing & Preparation 
  • Categorization & Inventory 
  • Storefront Operations & Customer Service (for Shelving Volunteers)

Barista

Coffee lovers, rejoice: Julia’s Café needs your help! We are searching for volunteer baristas to assist staff baristas in making coffee and helping customers. Experience in a coffee shop is not needed, just a friendly face with a knack for customer service! On-site training is provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Run the café register 
  • Fill customer orders, including coffee, tea, soda and some espresso beverages (additional training required) 
  • Stock café products 
  • Assist in cleaning the bar, cabinets, floors, café tables and restrooms
